After School We Keep Your Child Occupied

We provide fun and thoughtful activities where all children can participate.  Some activities include martial arts, gaming, indoor sports, and arts and crafts.

Professional, caring counselors

Our after school program is operated by talented counselors who have years of experience and who have all passed level 2 background checks. (The same background check required to be a teacher in California)

Thoughtful, inspiring activities

We also offer many activities that will help to expand your child’s mind and develop their character, including Arts & Crafts, Gaming, Team Building Exercises, Character Building, Cultural Studies, and Anti-Bullying Programs.

COVID Safety

We take extra care to follow state mandated COVID guidelines. Children are encouraged to wash their hands throughout the day and wear their masks.

Now accepting child care funding

In cooperation with the Pomona Unified School District, CCRCC, and San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center, these child care funding programs may be available to you. Call for details.

A+ Homework help everyday

We offer our A+ Homework Help program, where we offer homework help to your child every day. So, there is no excuse for any of our students not to complete their homework each day.

Fun and save activities that children like

We offer many fun and healthy activities to keep your child in shape and promote a healthy and active lifestyle. This includes activities like martial arts training, tennis, soccer, basketball, kickball, dodgeball, and gaming.

Flexibility that promotes safety

We keep your child safe and secure, they are not on the streets were most after school mishaps occur. We offer late parent pickups up until 7:00pm so that you have time after work to make it to our facility without rushing.

The after school program offers non-stop fun activities that your child will love. Your child will enjoy interacting with friends and participating in all the fun and safe activities. Below are some typical activities.

A Typical Day at the after School Program

The following agenda displays what a typical day looks like at the After School Program, of course every day is different.

Child Arrival

Children are picked up by our staff in our Winners Edge vans for an afternoon of homework followed by fun.

Homework Help

Our staff will help students complete their homework assignments and projects.

Snack Time

The children are given an opportunity to have snacks.

Organized Sports Activities

During this time there are multiple organized activities that the children can select from. The options typically include sports based activities such as martial arts, football, basketball, soccer, dance, tumbling, or field trips to the park.

Organized Low Key Activities

We closed out the day with more relaxing activities to give the students a chance to wind down.  These activities typically include, arts & crafts, yoga, lego building, character and social development with story time or a visit to the gaming room.

The After School Program is open from 7am until 7 pm on weekdays.

Yes, each child has the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports activities each week.

Yes, we recommend that each child brings a snack each day.

Yes, we pick up from most local schools, call for details.

Children are welcome to wear the clothes that they wore to school that day. We do recommend tennis shoes with shoe laces.  We also do lots of water play so we recommend bringing a towel, swim clothes, sunscreen and a change of clothing.

No, Winners Edge provides all the necessary equipment for every activity. Martial Arts gear is available for sale at discounted rates.
